Ugandan pastor flogs church Members as part of prayer In viral video



A Ugandan pastor has come under heavy criticism after a video showed him beating his church members on their backs and buttocks as part of prayer.

On Sunday, the cleric identified as Prophet Kevin Kintu during a prayer session asked his followers to come and receive the holy beating.

The followers started trooping to the front of the church, where they were beaten on their backs and buttocks.

Speaking during a recent interview with journalists, Obindo said “Mental healthcare is in a sorry state given that we have more than 60 million Nigerians suffering from various mental illnesses and the fact that only about 10 per cent of them were able to access appropriate care. We are left with more than 90 per cent who are unable to access care and this group is called the treatment gap for mental illnesses,’’ Obindo said.
