OFFICIAL: Bruno Fernandez set to sign new five-year contract with Man United next week – Fabrizio Romano

 


Bruno Fernandez is reportedly set to sign a new contract with Manchester United, next week, Newspremises has learnt.

The new deal will make the midfielder stay at Old Trafford for another five years, according to reports.

This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, in a  statement on Friday, March 25, 2022.

"Bruno Fernandes contract will be signed and completed in the coming days/weeks, confirmed as revealed yesterday. It’s just matter of final details to be sorted out soon.

"Bruno’s happy to stay, Man Utd have offered him a longer contract with improved salary," Romano said.


The Portugal international joined Manchester United from Sporting in January 2020.

He proved to be a transformative figure under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club had already begun the process of drafting a deal that better reflected his influence at Old Trafford.

The midfielder currently involved in World Cup play-offs, is reportedly expected to double his weekly pay packet, shifting to £240,000 a week.

The 27-year-old was the club's standout player during his first 18 months at Old Trafford, but his form has significantly dipped this season.
