Antonio Rudiger scores his first goal for Real Madrid in 4-1 resounding victory over Mallorca
Real Madrid came from behind to thrash Real Mallorca 4-1, scoring Antonio Rudiger's first goal for the club. The victory extended Los Blancos' unbeaten start in LaLiga.
Rudiger made an impact on Spanish football after joining the Spanish champions on a free transfer from Premier League powerhouse Chelsea in the summer.
The German international performed admirably at center back for Los Blancos, who have won all five of their games to open their title defense.
Vedat Muriqi's uncontested header from a Kang In Lee free-kick gave Mallorca the advantage in the 35th minute.
Federico Valverde, though, gave Real Madrid a point shortly before halftime with an incredible solo strike from the edge of the box.
Vinicius Jr., a star player from Brazil, gave them the lead with a composed finish following a run by Rodrygo, who added a fantastic solo goal to make the score 3-1.
After successfully converting Toni Kroos' free kick in extra time, Rudiger finished off the carnage.
According to OptaJose, the 29-year-old has become only the second German player bag a goal in four of Europe's top five leagues in the 21st century.
